    Meet Violet

    For years, I followed the standard advice. I ate the whole wheat, chose the low-fat options, and counted the calories. The result? I was 80 lbs. overweight, exhausted, and in chronic hip pain that almost stole my ability to walk.

    I finally realized that my body wasn’t failing me, it was successfully protecting me. It was taking the wrong fuel I was being told to eat and storing it away to keep my biology from crashing. My weight wasn't a sign of a broken metabolism; it was a sign of a body working overtime to handle a system-wide hijack.

    Since 2018, I have been pain-free, 80 lbs. lighter, and more active in my 50s than I was in my 30s. I don't focus on recipes or temporary fixes. I investigate the mechanisms of our health so we can stop building bodies primed for sickness and start building bodies primed for life.
